Day 6
Today was a little bit harder for baby Hayden. He was having a little trouble remembering to breath. The nurse said it the best she said "Hayden had a book of rules he needed to read and he didn't have time to finish reading the whole thing". So when he gets relaxed he forgets to breath and his heart slows down. He also had a blood sugar of 205 and they like to keep it below 175. So they made some changes to his Iv to get him back where he needs to be. Although when we got there at about 5:00 he was doing much better, and they were getting ready to start him on his feeding again. He will have some bad days where he needs a little bit more help and then he will have good so we just need to keep praying for Baby boy. We love you all and thank you for all your prayers. We just can't wait to get our little baby home with us.

Day 3
So last night was extra special they let Hilary hold baby Hayden for the first time. they had to keep the all the fun wires and hoses, but it made her day. they have been feeding him about 1 ml. of food every 6 hrs. and he seems to be responding well to. they said hes not out of the woods yet. thanks to everyone for their continued prayers and we will continue to keep you updated on his progress. I don't know why God had everything happen this way, but he has his reasons and i will not question his methods.

Day 2
Dear Readers,
To give you an update on our precious baby Hayden, he is breathing on his own and through a SIPAP machine that gives him regular room oxygen. He is going to try some breastmilk from a feeding tube later today if everything goes well and he could be eating at regular intervals by tomorrow. I went to see him early this morning and he just grasped my finger and didn't want to let go. He can recognize my voice I think and he moves towards me when I go in to talk to him and tell him how much I love him and can't wait till I can hold him. It breaks my heart to see him so tiny and fragile and know that there is nothing I can do for him right now. But we are trusting that everything is going to be ok and that God is holding Hayden in his hands. Please keep us and Hayden in your prayers.

Day 1
This is for those of you that have been praying for baby Hayden so that Hilary and I can keep you up to date on what the doctors say and how baby Hayden is progressing. First of all I just want to say for myself my wife and Baby Hayden, thank you all for all the prayers. God has heard then and after a scary night last night he has brought us all peace. for those of you who don't know. Hilary was due to have Baby Hayden on August the 1st, but since both his mommy and I are both so energetic he decided to come 15 weeks early. he was born about 9:00 on Apr. 24th. the doctors said that he has about an 80% chance of surviving and if he makes it through the next three days then he should be just fine. But as we all know God is the only one who can change those odds. so I ask u all to continue to pray. He will be in the hospital till at least August so pray for him to get up to where they want him to be and pray for us that God will comfort us as our baby stays in the NICU.
